Getting paid back for playing

A lot of online sites nowadays offer some sort of payback program, usually with a system of ‘points’ or ‘crowns’. Pokerstars recently updated their system of FPP (Frequent Player Points) with new levels like Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum ‘stars.’ Each level increases your FPP intake, gives more options for spending your FPPs and can even get you registered in special “Silverstar only” tournaments.

Over my two years playing on Pokerstars I’ve used my FPPs on a few things, from winter beanies to books, and also to regsiter in satelite tournaments. I just received Sklansky’s book on playing good tournament poker, and on the inside cover it reads “Steven – beat Pokerstars! David Sklansky”. Well, besides Sklanksy having pretty sloppy handwriting, I was very impressed with Pokerstars FPP program. I also received a pokerstars beanie that kept me warm during winter days on campus. With the implementation of the new Stars program the FPPs payouts have become pretty sweet, check them out!

I've been playing poker for almost four years now (well before it was legal for me, woops!) Besides poker I enjoy playing the guitar and I'm very enthusiastic about pursuing Dentistry as a career. I'm currently at The Ohio State Univeristy studying Microbiology, living with three of my close friends. I'm dating a lovely girl from Australia and am looking forward to the oppurtunity to study abroad over there as well.
