Unfortunately I’m still in school (scratch that, I’m glad I’m still in school) and I have finals coming up the end of this week and beginning of this week. Then after the finals are over I’m heading to Greece for a week to see Athens and the surrounding countryside with some of my classmates from Ohio State.
Needless to say I don’t have much time for poker. I cashed out most of the money I had online so I have some spending money in Greece (gyros baby!) and won’t be playing very much. If I feel confident in my study skills I may play in the Thursday night game again this week (the one I finally cashed in last week), but that’s going to be a decision I’ll make Thursday night.
So for the next few days I might plagarize on myself and repost some of my older stuff, things most of you have probably never seen. If I don’t do that it is probably safe to say I won’t have anything at all to say, so it is better than nothing.
A quick update on the NBC Heads Up Championship (don’t read below this if you don’t want me to ruin it for you):
And the winner is … Ted Forrest! Ted Forrest had to battle through Sam Farha, Sheik Shiekan, and final beat Chris Ferguson 2 out of 3 for the title and $500,000. Ferguson was last year’s runner-up again, a decent feat but probably not a very fun one (getting 2nd two years in a row). The final three games took over 3 hours with the final hand being Ted’s K7 vs Jesus’ QJ. Check out this article by Wil Wheaton over at Cardsquad for a few more details on the event.
