Full Tilt Poker Scores A Knockout: Signs Up Heavyweight Boxing Contender

Don’t you just love it when celebrities are signed up to promote various gambling sites? I do. Nothing wrong with it at all.

So kudos to Full Tilt Poker for signing up with a true heavyweight boxing contender, Audley Harrison.

And he’s no fluke. No novice to poker tournaments.

The dude is damned good.

The 38-year-old, who has cashed twice at the World Series of Poker as well as finishing second in the Bellagio Cup and third at the Venetian Deep Stack, will represent Full Tilt Poker at upcoming poker events and will box Haye under Full Tilt sponsorship.

He said he fell in love with poker while living in Las Vegas and has spent time learning how to play the game from the professionals who reside there.

“I have had some great results already in the game and Eddie [Hearn] and I have been looking at joining the right team for a while now,” he explained.

Then he said the right thing: “We have found the perfect partner in Full Tilt Poker and I look forward to representing them both in the ring and on the tables. Next time I’m in action on the felt, I plan to have the WBAHeavyweight Championship belt round my waist.”

Well, we’ll see about that.

But I wish him luck in the squared circle and playing poker.
